Job Summary
The Child and Family Agency was established on 1st January 2014 and is responsible for a range of statutory functions including provision of child protection, alternative care, specified regulatory services and a range of family support services. The Agency has commenced a major improvement programme with significant focus on Practice, Culture and Structure.
The Agency currently has responsibility for a budget of circa €1.2billion and delivers its services through over 5,500 people in 259 locations across the Country.
The Child and Family Agency has responsibility for the following range of services:
• Child Protection and Welfare
• Parenting, Family Support and Early Help Services
• Alternative Care
• Birth Information & Tracing and Adoption
• Tusla Education Support Services (TESS)
• Children’s Service Regulation
• Counselling and Therapeutic Supports

About Tusla ICT
Tusla ICT provides the innovation, systems, and support to assist the Agency in delivering its services to children and families, as well as achieving its business and strategic objectives.
Tusla has one of the largest ICT networks in the Irish Public Service, with approximately 6,000 users and 325 office/centre locations. The ICT directorate is responsible for delivering the following functions: ICT Networks, Server and Storage Management; Cyber Security, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery; 0365 and Cloud Management; Application Development; Digital Transformation and Support; Data and Information Management; Service Delivery; ICT Business Support, Governance and ICT Programme Management.
Job Objectives
Main Duties and Responsibilities
To coordinate the activities of one or more of the functions below
Human Resources:
• To coordinate the processing of time returns, T&S claims and miscellaneous allowance forms for the ICT Directorate.
• To coordinate the management of induction and probation in ICT.
• To coordinate the management of both mandatory and additional trainings in ICT.
• To assist with the ICT access new joiner process.
Finance:
• To coordinate the issuing of all purchase orders for the ICT Directorate.
• To coordinate the processing of all invoices for the ICT Directorate.
• To coordinate the processing of procurement card transactions for the ICT Directorate.
• To coordinate the management of the Fixed Asset Register for ICT assets.
• To coordinate the management of purchased software requests
• To coordinate the processing of mobile phone account queries.
Request Fulfilment and Asset Management:
• Ensure robust stock management practices are in place for ICT peripherals, such as stock takes, stock orders, receipting of goods, storage of goods and dispatch of goods.
• Ensure robust asset management practices are in place for ICT assets, such as updating of asset management system, validation of asset management data, retrieval of ICT assets and labelling of ICT assets.
• Coordinate the secure disposal process for ICT assets.
• Coordinate the reuse of ICT devices such as laptops and mobile phones.
• Coordinate the logging of warranty calls with the relevant service provider for ICT devices.
Administration:
• The efficient day-to-day administration of the area of responsibility.
• Collection and presentation of required data and metrics.
• Maintain own knowledge of relevant procedures, practices and legislation to perform the role effectively and to ensure standards are met.
• Use appropriate technology to ensure work is completed to a high standard
• Maintain confidentiality of data and records etc
• Ensure consistent adherence to procedures within area of responsibility.
• Ensure that service-users are treated with dignity and respect.
• Carry out any other tasks as directed by the Line Manager.
• To supervise, allocate and oversee the work of assigned business support staff.
• To encourage and support staff through change processes.
• Pay close and accurate detail to own personal work.
• Support the preparation and issuing of knowledge base articles for service-users
• Co-operate and work in harmony with other teams and disciplines.
• Ensure line management is kept informed of all issues.

Skills Requirement
Applicants must by the closing date of application have the following:
• Candidates must currently work with Tusla – Child and Family Agency, the HSE or within other statutory health agencies, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38/39 of the Health Act 2004 or within a body that provides services on behalf of Tusla under Section 56 or Section 59 of the Child and Family Act 2013.
• Have at least 2 years’ administrative experience relevant to the requirements of the role.
• Possess sufficient administrative capacity to discharge the functions of the grade/post

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
Character
Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
